Mika Hakkinen, former World Champion was back behind the wheel of Mclaren, the MP4-21 in Thursday's test session at Barcelona. This was the first time he has driven an F1 car since his retirement in 2001. And he was a massive 3.205 seconds off the pace.
The supposed purpose of the test was to see a difference between the latest car and his MP4-16. This was what Mika had to say.
"The purpose for today was not to impress anybody, we just had to find a good feeling and understand Formula 1 and find out if it has changed a lot since 2001. Surprisingly, the change was very little.
"There is a lot more electronics in the car, nowadays. That can be a good or a bad thing, because it helps you in the corners, but it can also be very confusing. So you really have to stay calm and a focused mind, because it can influence your lap time easily by more than a second and the driver doesn't even notice it.
"The V10 had more explosive power and very impressive torque, now it seems like you have less. Technology has gone forward, so the drivability is very smooth and that feels fantastic. I think Mercedes has done very good work. We didn't have any problems."
Mika obviously enjoyed the drive. And of his fans, including me, would love to see him race again. And there is a distinct possiblity that he would. Lewis Hamilton who is set partner Fernando Alonso at Mclaren is a promising driver. But some are saying he may be entering Formula 1 too soon. If Mika does return Mclaren would have two champion drivers racking up the points.

Versatile Bill
Mr. William Fichtner is an actor. He only plays minor roles but he's good. He isn't the stereotyped kind and can play varied roles very well.
I first saw him in the movie Contact. He played a blind scientist who helped the main character discover a message echoing from a nearby star.
In the comedy What's the Worst that Could Happen, he played an eccentric, and an almost queer detective.
In the movie Black Hawk Down (one of my favorite), he was Sfc. Jeff Sanderson, a gung ho of a hero.
Armageddon, as Colonel William Sharp, the Shuttle Freedom pilot.
Mr and Ms. Smith, he was Dr. Wexler, the marriage counselor. He didn't appear on screen though.
Ultraviolet, he played Garth, Violet's arms and weapons supplier.
As Sheriff Tom Underlay in the tv series Invasion.
A cult leader, Prince Victor Diamond in the movie Endsville (I didn't see this one).
The lastest character that Bill is playing is an FBI Agent Alexander Mahone of the TV Series Prison Break.
Drama, comedy, action, a blind scientist, a queer detective, shuttle pilot, a cult leader, a heroic sniper, weapons genius, marriage counselor, sheriff, FBI agent. This guy is versatile. A few more big movies and he'd be a household name - if he isn't already.

He is often called to perform in Jerry Bruckheimer's productions.
He was in the game Grand Theft Auto as himself.
He's also in the coming movie Blades of Glory, also playing as himself.

Dear Mommy & Daddy,
You were both wishful you'd see how I'd look today :) Well, I have my mommy's nose and my daddy's eyes. My curly hair is golden and it has grown long now. They also say I'm tall for my age. My angel wings can carry my weight now too and I go about the clouds more easily.
Thank you for celebrating this day. You have made October 10 a day of thanksgiving when two years ago it was a day of mourning.
By the way, the Head Master has given me a new task. My assignment now is to watch over you both. So I guess we'd be together more often.
